Many of you may know Becky and I first met in Japan 22 years ago as English Teachers on the JET Programme. I was lucky enough that she consented to come to the US with me when my career opened the door to move to Cleveland. We enjoyed the last 20 years there – the friends we made, the experiences we had and the start of our beautiful family with Griffin, Bodhi, Jake & Scout (our dogs in case you didn’t know).
In a fitting turn of events since my career brought us to the US from Asia, Becky’s career will now take us back. After 17 years at Laurel School in Shaker Heights, Becky has accepted an administrative position at Taipei American School in Taiwan.
We’re looking forward to giving our sons more great international experiences (besides visiting family in England) plus we’ll be closer to Japan so we will be able to visit there often along with mainland China, Korea, Singapore and the rest of Asia.
This blog is an effort to stay in touch because we have learned over the years that distance and time are no obstacles to keeping in contact with people you care about no matter where in the world they might live.
